Community support, including charitable contributions and volunteering is what allows Mission SF to continue to provide high-quality financial counseling and credit building services for adults as well as innovative financial education programs for children and young adults.

Adeline is seven years old and she wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up.  She saved for 6 months to buy a guinea pig through PLAY, Mission SF children’s savings program. With the support of Mission SF’s youth trainers, Adeline set and achieved not one, but two 6-month savings goals! After her first PLAY savings cycle, Adeline signed up to do it again to save for a cage and food for her guinea pig. This is Mission SF’s vision for PLAY—that youth will continue to PLAY, saving for things that keep them focused on academic and personal goals while building a savings habit.

Financial contributions like yours keep essential educational and wealth building programs available for Adeline and the teenagers and adults in Adeline’s community. Together we can promote financial security and catalyze economic mobility in our community.

Your tax-deductible contribution makes it possible for Mission SF to:

  • Expand our nationally recognized youth and child savings programs
  • Create community partnerships to deliver much-needed one-on-one credit-building and financial counseling to low-income and low-wealth individuals ages 18 and up.
  • Support local youth to participate in advocacy campaigns to improve financial access and financial products at a local and state level.

Your donation goes directly to Mission SF Community Financial Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are tax deductible. However, as with all charitable donations, you will need to itemize you tax deductions in order to claim any charity. Keep your receipt from Google Checkout in order to itemize the deduction on your Form 1040 Schedule A when you file to the IRS.
